Linux Change User Password

Changing the password in Linux is easy. there are so any guides are available to change the Linux user password. Here you can learn how to change the Linux user password from the command line.



Open a terminal using ctrl + alt + T To change the password from the command line. you can change the Linux password using the normal account also, but we recommend you to use the root account or sudo access. run the below command on your terminal
sudo passwd
Changing password for iGyan
(current) UNIX password:
Enter new UNIX password:
Retype new UNIX password:
passwd: password updated successfully
You can also change password for perticular user like.

sudo passwd iGyan
Here is the sample output.
Enter new UNIX password:
Retype new UNIX password: 
passwd: password updated successfully
